Brief: Two spots, both about IM’ing. The first illustrates a Young Urban Creative guy who hooks up with his friends via his desktop and his phone, seamlessly. In the second spot, a young high school girl IM/chats away on her laptop, then seamlessly transfers her chat to her phone.
(1) This is the urban guys apartment, I wanted it
to fall off a bit, and not be too cluttered... Scott and I talked about the character being less metrosexual, and more just a guy with good taste, so the apartment has mostly vintage pieces, and some collectable items.
He works at home sometimes, so I wanted him to have a nicer desk and workstation, plus, I felt the computer should be nicer since it is featured.
(2) The background living room.
(3) The Girls room. She was lying on her bed facing us working on her laptop, lots of sunlight and a fresh overall vibe. The agency had asked that she have some artwork and come across as a very creative girl, so we used some original, cleared, art on her walls instead of the old Magazine clippings and polaroid gag.
(4) Detail of her personal area.
