Comcast
Justin Reardon, director

Brief:  Over the top, artificial world of “Do You Know”, where our spokesman invades the stereotypical environments of our artificial families, informing them of interesting, but likely useless information, once he has caught-them-up with the latest technical innovations from Comcast.  We built one house and switched it overnight into a different house, changing the doors, wallpaper, carpet and furnishings.

(1)  Computer Nook in the Blue house.  Justin wanted a “fake” exterior beyond the windows, and we did the bird gag there (see below).  We also switched out the backdrop several times, from autumn scene to desert mesa to Tyrolian peaks to winter wonderland

(2)  Bedroom of the Brown house.  Our hero climbs through the window, surprising the benefactors of his charming yet trivial knowledge.

(3,4)  Quick computer illustrations I whacked up for an easy previz (since we were gonna be shooting 3 spots per day, and, had to orchestrate a complicated overnight transition).  It was invaluable to judge scale and space.

(5)  The front porch of the Brown house. It was Winter when he was outside, and when we cut to his entrance on the inside, it was not.

(6-9)  Two views of the two different homes.  You can see the difference a few subtle changes make to the style and mood of a space: Doors, Walls, Floor, Furniture, etc.
