Brief: “I Dream Of Jeans”. A take off on “I Dream Of Jeanie”, where our heros and heroines are doing thier bit in a “Jeanie’s Bottle” environment. The jean clad youth were to dance all upon and around the set, hence the (once again) Busby Berkeley type of staging.
There was a time there, in this business where Busby Berkeley’s name would be tossed around like Irving Penn, or Sally Mann - or, er.... maybe I should say Henri Cartier-Bresson or Richard Avedon. You get what I mean.
(1) The final set in action, spring-y youth about to pounce into a dance number...
(2) The Maquette, which, as a part of my process, I always find useful in either explaining my vision, or helping our production team define an idea with our client of agency. Sometimes it is all you can do...
(3) A better view of the plexiglass deck (which was up lit with specular light).
