Victoria’s Secret
Phillip Dixon, director/photographer

Brief:    Sassy vixens hanging out in their underwear among adobe architectural elements. Specifically, find ways to incorporate the surrounding landscape and rock formations into the architecture, doing so in the spirit the new line of  “Body Bare” underwear.

(1,2,3)   The vixens in position and ready for their
close-up.  I tried to give a variety of forms here, flat, curved, stepped, and broad open space for the many shots Phillip needed.  The second element shown in (2) was intended to work as a foreground piece so the models could be seen together, yet on different ‘platforms’ for depth. These were all constructed in LA and delivered, installed, and final prepped on location.

(4)  An illustration I made to help deliver the  ‘steps-in-the-rock’ concept.  I scouted for locations as well, in fact I recommended this location, which I had shot at before (Club Ed - who hasn’t?), and went there to photograph and draw/paint some concepts for the director and client to grasp what I had in mind (see below).

(5)  This is how I presented the location.  I shot
and drew several options, posting them on boards for the director, DP and I to discuss.
